Quality continues with Chemclad’s custom cut to size capabilities. Laminated panels with decorative faces such as high pressure laminate, metal, or wood veneer can be cut to the customers required dimensions providing a durable product in configurations needed for any application.

Chemclad Services

Pre-Production Engineering

Specialized engineering is available utilizing AutoCAD drawings for more complex jobs. Labeling of components including bar coding is available as required. Additional front-end engineering includes Prototype components when required.

Before parts are cut, material is optimized for best yield based on the number of components requested. If 500 components of a set length and width are needed, the engineer will optimize the request and may find that there is a better yield from a 5′ x 12′ panel as opposed to a 4′ x 8′ panel. The result is a cost savings to you.

Factory Production Flow

Multiple Hydraulic cold presses provide a manufacturing capacity of up to 700 2-sided decorative laid-up panels in a single eight-hour shift. The Hi Production CNC panel saw trims or cuts to size as required up to 14 feet in length. For more complex configurations the material is run through a CNC Router or CNC machining center. Decorative edge treatment is accomplished on a Holz-Her 1447 Accord edgebander where a straight edge is covered with PVC, wood trim, veneer or HPL strip (self edge). Finally, the parts are palletized for shipment

?100 Dishes To Eat In Alabama Before You Die?

“100 Dishes To Eat In Alabama Before You Die”

Alabama Tourism Food Brochure

Montgomery, AL (Vocus) February 11, 2010

Scallops at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile, a sushi roll at Jensei in Homewood, fried chicken at Maggie’s Diner in Tuscaloosa and a peanut butter and jelly pastry at the Cotton Row in Huntsville are a few of the new dishes listed in the latest edition of the “100 Dishes To Eat In Alabama Before You Die” brochure released today.

From BBQ to fresh Gulf seafood, the brochure lists dozens of restaurants in small towns and downtowns across the state. Royal Red Shrimp at Old Bay Steamer and King Neptune’s on the Gulf Coast, the catfish and cheese grits at Radley’s Fountain Grill in Monroeville, baked grits at Highlands Bar and Grill in Birmingham, tomato salad at Hot and Hot Fish Club, L.A. Caviar at Lulu’s in Gulf Shores, fried chicken at Martin’s in Montgomery, BBQ Chicken with white sauce at Big Bob Gibson’s in Decatur and orange-pineapple ice cream at Trowbridge’s in Florence are just a few long time favorites.

Two of the state’s celebrity chefs appear on the covers. Lucy Buffett of Lulu’s in Gulf Shores is seen holding a “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” made famous by her brother Jimmy Buffett, on one side, while Frank Stitt is pictured on the reverse shucking fresh peas at one of his Birmingham restaurants, Highland’s Bar & Grill.

Buffett and Stitt were selected for the covers because of their dedication to serving food grown by local farmers as well as being champions of the Farm-to-Table Movement. Stitt was honored by the James Beard Awards in 2009 as one of the nation’s best chefs and Highlands Bar & Grill was named one of the top five restaurants in the U.S. by the James Beard Foundation. Stitt also owns Bottega and Chez Fonfon in Birmingham. Lucy Buffett has appeared numerous times on NBC’s Today Show and the Food Network

promoting and preparing her recipes from her cookbook, “Crazy Sista Cooking.”

“It has by far been the most popular brochure that we have produced to date,” said tourism director Lee Sentell. “I think the reason it’s so popular is that people love food. We love to eat and we love to eat good food,” he added.

More than 800,000 brochures have been printed and distributed since its initial printing in 2005 as part of the “Year of Alabama Food” tourism campaign. This is the third update of the publication.

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Its Urgent We Get All Chinese Drywall Knauf Tianjin In Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, & SE Texas Homes Identified-Now!

Washington, DC (Vocus) August 9, 2010

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying, “its critical we get as many Knauf Tianjin Chinese drywall victims as possible identified, out of fear we have only identified 1 in 25 in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, or the Houston & Austin areas of Southeast Texas- time could be running out.” The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center has been calling imported toxic Chinese drywall the absolute worst environmental disaster for individual US homeowners in the history of the United States. The group says, “while State owned Chinese drywall manufacturers such as Taishan Gypsum , have knowingly participated in this toxic imported insult to every US citizen, the Chinese Government has turned its back on the 100,000′s of completely innocent homeowners living in Toxic homes. However, in the case of Knauf Tianjin Chinese drywall, we think there is a good chance for a settlement.” The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying, “because we want to get the most possible homeowners identified with a Knauf Tianjin Chinese drywall, we are focusing on subdivisions built in 2005-2006 in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi & the metro areas of Houston & Austin in Southeast Texas.” They say, “if need be, we will go house to house, attic to attic, to help homeowners identify this product. Our inspections cost nothing, this is all about helping innocent homeowners, and their families, stuck in the mess of their lives.” For more information homeowners in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and especially the metro areas of Houston & Austin, Texas can call the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

What are the best symptoms for toxic Chinese drywall, and or imported Knauf Tianjin imported Chinese drywall in 2005-2006 Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and especially the metro areas of Houston & Austin, in Southeast Texas subdivisions? The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says, “we think repeated AC coil failures, combined with severe health symptoms are the best indicators. But, our biggest problem is getting the word out-especially in subdivisions. If you have these symptoms, just call us at 866-714-6466, and we will walk you, and hopefully your neighbors through a very simple self examination.” Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

According to the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center, “the key to discovering Chinese drywall in a Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, or Houston, and or Austin, Texas home, is attempting to marry failed AC coils in homes built, or remodeled in 2005-2006 with what is in the attic.” The group says, “if you have had repeated AC coil failures, you, or your family is sick, check your attic & call us. We will help you in every step of the inspection process, we will give as much of our time as necessary-and our service is free-the goal find Knauf Tianjin drywall.” For more information please contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

On the topic of turning its back on innocent US consumers, the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying, “why hasn’t President Obama mentioned the Chinese Drywall disaster one time? Why hasn’t President Obama’s US Consumer Products Safety Commission recalled one sheet of toxic Chinese drywall? Where is the US EPA, or the Centers for Disease Control?” The group says, “with the revelation of the Knauf, Banner, WCI cover-up-where is the US Justice Department? We are 110% certain there are more involved than just these three. Try dozens & dozens more. What happened to Change? The Obama Administration can’t blame this on President Bush-this is now your disaster, and your miserable failure to care, and or to lead.” Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says of the little known toxic Chinese drywall disaster, “sorry the March 2009 hatchet job did not work out so good for Florida homebuilders. The next time you try to run someone over with a truck-make sure they do not get back up. Google, Bing, or Yahoo-President Obama Toxic Chinese Drywall, US Justice Department Toxic Chinese Drywall, Knauf Tianjin Toxic Chinese Drywall.” The group says, “this effort was always about trying to help completely innocent US homeowners stuck in the worst mess of their lives. Many of these homeowners have kids. How can anyone look the other way now-including the US DOJ, the Obama Administration, and the worthless US Congress?”

Volunteer Center Joins Forces With Spina Bifida Association of Alabama to Spread Word on Prevention

Volunteer Center Joins Forces With Spina Bifida Association of Alabama to Spread Word on Prevention

Huntsville, AL (PRWEB) October 8, 2007

The Volunteer Center of Madison County, in observation of Spina Bifida Awareness Month, is searching for volunteers to help spread the word about Spina Bifida prevention.

Trish Switzer, president of the Spina Bifida Association of Alabama and the parent of a daughter with Spina Bifida, is always on the lookout for assistance with education programs. “Parents of children with Spina Bifida are the best advocates and educators, but they’re so busy that sometimes they just can’t do much more.”

Switzer’s main message? Women of childbearing age should take folic acid supplements BEFORE they get pregnant. According to the Spina Bifida Association of America, the exact cause of Spina Bifida is not known, but genetics and environmental factors are involved. Daily consumption of the B-vitamin, folic acid, prior to pregnancy reduces the occurrence of Spina Bifida by up to 70 percent.

Switzer said the perfect candidates for volunteers to educate people about Spina Bifida prevention include health-care workers and “just about anybody who’s willing to learn about the problem and help others learn about it.”

Spina Bifida is a lifelong birth defect in which the spine has not closed completely. One out of every 1,000 newborns in the United States has it, according to the SBA of America. While most babies born with Spina Bifida 30 years ago died, 80 to 90 percent of infants born with the birth defect today live. Many go on to lead successful and productive lives. The effects of Spina Bifida vary widely from individual to individual; it is a medically complex birth defect affecting the orthopedic, urologic and central nervous system.

If you would like to volunteer with the SBA of Alabama, please contact The Volunteer Center at (256) 539-7797.

The Volunteer Center of Madison County is the premier connection between volunteers and community needs. We partner with the community to mobilize volunteers and provide solutions to local challenges. We build the capacity of partner agencies – United Way and Combined Federal Campaign – to involve and manage volunteers and to address local needs through volunteering. Created in 1969 as a clearing-house to link new volunteers with non-profit organizations, the Volunteer Center believes that only people can solve community problems.

Georgia’s Leading SBA 504 Lender Expands to Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 24, 2008

Georgia Certified Development Corporation, Georgia’s leading SBA 504 lender announced today their approval as a multi-state U. S. Small Business Administration 504 CDC expanding their reach beyond Georgia to begin servicing Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and South Carolina. Already ranked as the #1 Georgia based CDC for loan dollar volume for the second year in a row, GCDC now brings their expert lending abilities to Tennessee, northern Florida, including Duval and Nassau counties and the Opelika, Alabama and Aiken, SC metro areas.

GCDC’s goal is to stimulate economic growth by creating jobs, revitalizing or redeveloping business districts, and developing businesses in rural communities. GCDC is already making an impact in Tennessee. In late 2007 and in January of 2008, GCDC approved over $ 2 million in loans for a Microtel Inn & Suites in Manchester, TN and a Super Shine Car Wash in Brainard, TN. These two projects will create over 20 new jobs over the next two years. GCDC has eight other loans in process and will continue to impact Tennessee through their recently opened office in Chattanooga.

Leading the explosive growth in Tennessee and headquartered in GCDC’s Chattanooga office will be newly appointed Vice President and Business Development Officer, Matt Eicholtz. Eicholtz adds considerable experience on the development side and has years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and was most recently Vice President/General Manager of Wilcorp Development Corporation.

With a proven track record in the small business lending market, GCDC is highly praised by lenders such as Temecula Valley Bank, CIT, Haven Trust, United Central Bank and others for their ability to turn loan packages around quickly and efficiently. This in turn ensures the approval process is hassle free for both their lending partners and the business borrower.

“We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as the SBA 504 lender of choice here in Georgia,” said Ronald W. Tigner, President of GCDC. “As a former banker I understand the importance of service and being right the first time on questions of loan structure and eligibility”. Tigner added “Lenders and small businesses talk to each other and with the success we were having in Georgia, businesses and lenders working in neighboring Tennessee and north Florida kept calling us asking if we could help and now, we’re proud to say YES”.

About Georgia Certified Development Corporation

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Georgia Certified Development Corporation (GACDC) is an SBA 504 Lender specializing in long-term, below market fixed rate financing for business real estate and equipment. Alabama Gulf Coast Floor Covering Firm Expands Product Line

Villa Lagoon Tile created thsi customized backsplash fo Hilton Head Island

Gulf Shores, AL (PRWEB) October 1, 2010

Despite the floundering home construction business one small company on Alabama’s Gulf Coast is enjoying a surge in interest and sales. Villa Lagoon Tile has expanded its floor tile product line to include ceramic backsplash tiles.

Colorful and decorative backsplashes to kitchen and bathrooms have been widely used in recent years to add a personal touch to homes. Villa Lagoon Tile a specialty floor tile company has taken it one step farther to include custom made tiles that depict places and other works of art.

“Delft tiles has been the most popular of all the backsplash tiles so far,” says Lundy Wilder, CEO and designer for Villa Lagoon Tile. The ceramic accent tiles were added to the company’s tile inventory to compliment their cement floor tile designs. “Kitchen designs are personal and reflect the home-owner’s personality, so we wanted to provide an opportunity for clients to coordinate our floor designs with backsplashes,” Wilder states.

The company’s seaside themes play a major role in the Delft tile designs and have been very popular primarily in New England and along the eastern seaboard. Wilder’s clients have used the tile to create a memory or used as a tribute to the home. “We have a woman on Cape Cod who used our mermaid tiles in a backsplash design as a tribute to her four daughters. We also have a client on Hilton Head hire us to design a Deflt-style map of the area for her kitchen,” recalled Wilder.

Villa Lagoon Tiles has also created custom tiles for fireplace surrounds and bathrooms. Other tile styles and designs include: Art-Deco, Art Nouveau, Biblical, and Relief designs. The tiles are available in three sizes: 4.25, 6, and 8 inch. The tiles are durable and can be customized for commercial use to create a theme for restaurants, bars and coffee houses.

This event will take place at the SATORI Coffee and Tea House located at 5640 Old Shell Road near the intersection of University Boulevard beginning at 6:30 p.m. November 3, 2005.

All interested media and supporters are invited to attend.

Mrs. Nall will be speaking about her campaign for Governor and some of the planks, which make up her platform, including drug policy and prison reform, gun ownership rights, check-box style governing system and ballot access reform.

Mrs. Nall who characterizes herself as the “Common Sense” candidate in the upcoming 2006 election has enjoyed widespread media interest from across Alabama. In one NBC 13 Poll Nall leads with 35% and she recently won a phone-in poll on Good Morning Montgomery by a 3 to 1 margin. She has also appeared on the Kevin Elkins Show, The Don Markwell Show, and the Lee Davis Show where the majority of callers have agreed with her ideas and platform.

Nall, who is best known for her drug policy and prison reform work, was arrested in a November 2002 raid on her home less than a week after her Letter to the Editor of the Birmingham News was published.

The affidavit in support of the warrant to search Nall’s home used that letter as probable cause.

The Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force, which conducted the raid on Nall’s home, alleges that the raid yielded 0.87 grams of marijuana.

Nall was convicted of misdemeanor marijuana possession and possession of paraphernalia in February 2004. She maintains her innocence and has an appeal pending.

After her trial in Feb. 2004 Mrs. Nall filed a complaint with the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission alleging misconduct on the part of Judge Kim Taylor after he commented about the facts of her case to the local media. The Judicial Inquiry Commission sided with Mrs. Nall and reprimanded Judge Kim Taylor for his actions.

In March of 2005 Mrs. Nall again appeared in court for her appeal. The prosecution offered her a plea bargain of 8 months in prison without the possibility of probation or parole in exchange for her guilty plea. Mrs. Nall, who had no previous arrest or criminal record, refused to plea out and instead demanded a jury trial. She wrote a scathing article about her court experience, which was published at LewRockwell and one week later she was visited by the F.B.I.

Loretta Nall, 31, wife, mother of two children living in her native Alabama, became involved in drug policy reform in September of 2002, after enduring a terrifying helicopter raid by local, state and federal agents looking for Marijuana.

Since that time Mrs. Nall has founded and organized 35 state chapters of the US Marijuana Party, has hosted the POT-TV.net News for 18 months, interviewing Jesse Jackson and Dennis Kucinich in regards the drug war in America. Loretta Nall has appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine, lewrockwell.com, and numerous daily newspapers across North America on behalf of her campaign to reduce the destructive effects of prohibition in America. In 2004, she visited war-torn Colombia, South America where she studied the affects of aerial fumigation on the food crops of peasant farmers as carried out under U.S. Plan Colombia. Currently, she is Executive Director of Alabamians for Caring Use a group helping to guide a medical marijuana bill through the Alabama state legislature in concert with the Drug Policy Alliance. Mrs. Nall is also a weekly contributor to the “Cultural Baggage Radio Show”.
