Home Energy Team Expands Network of Home Energy Auditors with New Affiliate in Georgia

Fairfax, VA (Vocus) January 27, 2010

Home Energy Team, which is building the first nationwide network of independent, highly-trained energy auditors, today announced further expansion by adding a new energy auditor affiliate, The Energy Inspectors, that will service homeowners in the Greater Atlanta area. With the new affiliate, Home Energy Team now has skilled, certified auditors in nineteen states helping consumers enhance the energy efficiency of their homes.

Starting this month in a handful of states before expanding nationwide in the coming weeks, the $ 300 million “cash for appliances” program offers consumers energy efficiency rebates for purchases of Energy Star appliances, adding another powerful incentive for homeowners to leverage the expertise of an independent home energy auditor in order to determine how best to improve energy efficiency.

“Adding a new affiliate that will serve Georgia residents in areas North and East of Atlanta (including Decatur, Dunwoody, Chamblee, Doraville and Dunwoody) allows Home Energy Team to build upon its mission to provide consumers throughout the country with an opportunity to enhance the energy efficiency of their home and reduce their carbon footprint,” said Sean Zobaa, President of Home Energy Team.

Unlike various home contractors that claim to conduct energy audits while also trying to sell related services, Home Energy Team affiliates are trained and certified to provide unbiased energy efficiency reviews for existing and new homes. After conducting a home energy audit, each Home Energy Team auditor has access to a trusted network of local contractors available to service recommended energy efficiency upgrades desired by the consumer.

“In today’s economy, every dollar counts for Georgia homeowners who are facing rising energy costs and are increasingly seeking to make a positive impact on their environment,” said Michael Scheiderich, owner of The Energy Inspectors. “As a Home Energy Team affiliate with access to a local network of certified energy efficiency contractors, consumers now have a trusted source for unbiased energy assessments.”

Homeowners in Georgia – and throughout the country – can experience numerous benefits from a Home Energy Team audit:

Manage Energy Consumption – A Home Energy Team auditor will provide a detailed assessment of each home and provide recommendations to maximize energy efficiency. To help implement the proposed energy saving strategy (energy savings average 30%), the Home Energy Team can provide access to certified energy efficient contractors.
Mitigate Energy Loss – Older homes in particular are less energy efficient than new homes, and homes more than 25 years old save on average 35% on energy bills. For homes more than 50 years old, the percentage rises to 38% (according to Osprey Media).
Energy Check Ups Pay Dividends – Even after accounting for the cost of desired energy efficiency upgrades, the average return on investment is 16 percent; and many energy efficient home upgrades are eligible for tax rebates from the Federal government.
Social Responsibility – According to the non-profit environmental advocacy group, Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), 21 percent of the green house gas emissions in the United States are due to residential energy use – even more than cars. Homeowners who do their part can help to reduce greenhouse emissions.

Internet Home Business Retreat to Provide Cutting-Edge Education for Families

Huntsville, Ala. (PRWEB) March 4, 2009

When so many of America’s workers are being down-sized, families are turning to the Internet to start successful online home businesses.

Rhea Perry is a stay-at-home mom who specializes in teaching families, including teens, to build online businesses focused on creating passive income with ebooks, home study courses and membership sites.

Her company, EducatingforSuccess.com, is hosting a live 3-day retreat for anyone who wants to learn how to start or grow an online business.

Although the event will take place in Huntsville, Alabama on April 3-5, 2009, the company has already received registrations from Chile, Canada, California, Iowa and Indiana.

Educating for Success has a reputation for hosting unique family-friendly events featuring Internet millionaires and experts who have discovered the secrets to online success. Hundreds of families have attended her company’s events and many have completely changed their lives as a result.

Dave and Kay Mitchell, for example, began an online recording company with their 6 boys from their home in eastern Tennessee. When Dave died suddenly in 2007 at the age of 50, Kay and the oldest boys continued the company. If Dave had not left his job to start a home business, Kay and the boys would have no source of income.

Perry’s upcoming home business retreat features some of the hottest Internet marketers online today:

Jim Cockrum, eBay expert and author of Silent Sales Machine

Jeff Herring, the Internet Article Marketing Guy

Zack McCullough, co-creator of the AskDatabase

Drew Perry, real estate expert who teaches how to sell houses on eBay

Also featured is John Hannah, formerly of the New England Patriots, who will speak on The Importance of Teamwork in Business. Hannah was called by Sports Illustrated, “the best offensive linebacker of all time.”

“This conference is our contribution to help stimulate the economy,” says Perry, mom of 7. “We want to do help families learn how to turn their computers into ATMs.”

We need to get these homeowners identified now.”The group says, “we think repeated AC coil failures, combined with severe health symptoms are the best indicators, in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, or Southeast Texas. Our biggest problem is getting the word out-especially in subdivisions. If you have these symptoms, just call us at 866-714-6466, and we will walk you, and hopefully your neighbors through a very simple self examination.” http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Wants to Hear from Experienced Chinese Drywall Home Inspectors in Florida & All US Gulf States in Order to Protect Buyers

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Wants to Hear from Experienced Chinese Drywall Home Inspectors in Florida & All US Gulf States in Order to Protect Buyers

Washington, DC (Vocus) September 8, 2010

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is creating a new initiative to protect innocent home buyers from purchasing a toxic Chinese drywall home in the extreme US Southeast. They group is inviting the cream of the crop of home-building inspection firms, in all major metro areas of Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and the metro areas of Houston & Austin Texas to join them in this new initiative. This initiative is designed to protect potential new homeowners from unknowingly purchasing a too good to be true priced home, that contains toxic Chinese drywall, from a uncaring bank’s foreclosure department, and or an unscrupulous real estate flipper. The group says, “we are tired of the banks reselling the toxic Chinese drywall home foreclosures-AS IS-with no disclosure about the house being toxic, and we are really getting tired of quick buck flippers-jumping into the US Chinese drywall disaster. So we are going to do everything in our power to protect these innocent potential home purchasers.” Established, and ethical home building inspection firms in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and the metro areas of Houston, and Austin, Texas are encouraged to contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center as soon as possible, because they see a desperate need for this service right now. For more information please contact the group at 866-714-6466, or contact them via their web site at http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Home building inspection firms wishing to participate in this very important Chinese drywall home inspection initiative must have been in business a minimum of two years, they must have very good references, and they must have experience in identifying toxic Chinese drywall. For firms participating in the Chinese drywall inspection initiative in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and or Houston, and Austin Texas the following items must be covered in the home inspection:

All electrical outlet boxes must be checked for any sign of copper ground wires turning black. + pictures.
All air conditioning coils must be inspected + pictures.
Inspection of all visible copper pipes & AC tubing—+ pictures

All stainless steel faucet handles under sinks must be inspected for signs of pitting.
The electrical panel on the circuit breaker box should be removed, and pictures should be taken of the wire connections to the circuit breakers-+ pictures
The inspector must inspect the attic for any signs of toxic Chinese drywall. These include Knauf Tianjin, Made In China, or Blanks. The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center considers all blank drywall, and or all drywall lacking a clear ASTM code to be problematic.
    Black spots on mirrors.

Note: According to the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center, “we know toxic Chinese drywall flippers in Florida, are replacing the AC coils and in some cases cleaning up the electrical ground wires, but they cannot change, or hide everything.” They say, “we desperately need passionate home building inspectors in Florida, and all US Gulf States to help us with this initiative. There will be a modest up front fee for home inspection firms that participate, and very modest fee for the potential home buyer, but we think that’s a much better deal than spending 100,000′s of dollars on a home-that should be bulldozed.” For more information about this initiative home building inspection firms in the US Southeast should call the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says, “as 1000′s & 1000′s of homeowners with toxic Chinese drywall homes in Florida, and the extreme US Southeast realize they are upside down on their home, and their home has toxic Chinese drywall-with a BK home builder & their home is worthless-they are going to walk. This is all about preventing it from happening to some new innocent family.” They say, “someone has to try to protect these people. We think our Chinese Drywall Inspection Initiative is a very important service. The banks don’t care, the flippers don’t care, we care.” http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says, “we are not going to back off on identifying the 10,000′s of thousands of homeowners still living in a Florida, or Gulf State homes with Knauf Tianjin toxic Chinese drywall, or the dozens of other toxic Chinese drywall makers. Toxic Chinese drywall is the worst environmental homeowner disaster in US history. We want to get you identified, and continue to try to get you help-especially if you have Knauf Tianjin Chinese drywall.” http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Warns All Florida & Gulf States Home Buyers About Purchasing Anything Without An Inspection For Toxic Chinese Drywall

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Warns All Florida & Gulf States Home Buyers About Purchasing Anything Without An Inspection For Toxic Chinese Drywall

(Vocus/PRWEB) January 24, 2011

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is a consumer driven initiative with the goal being the best resource for individuals wishing to know more about toxic Chinese drywall, and or help, and advocacy for homeowners stuck in a home with toxic Chinese drywall. The group is sticking to its guns about the desperate need for a robust federal disaster relief program for 10,000′s of US Gulf States homeowners stuck in toxic Chinese drywall hell. The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is now warning all potential home buyers, or real estate investors, to not purchase any type of home, condominium, or small commercial building in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, or Southeast Texas, without getting an honest Chinese drywall inspection from a home building inspector, who knows what to look for. The group says, “Because of a lack of any significant federal leadership for the US toxic Chinese drywall disaster, its like the Wild West, with few rules, and no one is in charge. As a result, you have unscrupulous banks, sellers, or real estate flippers frequently selling a toxic Chinese drywall home, or condominium, with little, to no disclosure, to a completely innocent, and ignorant home buyer, or investor.” They say, “The net result of buying a toxic Chinese drywall home, or property, at an inflated price, and or without proper disclosures, is you get a foreclosure all over again. Do not buy a home, condo, or building in Florida, Virginia, or any US Gulf States without a toxic Chinese drywall inspection.” http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Symptoms of Toxic Chinese Drywall Or Toxic Chinese Drywall Inspections

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says, “Toxic Chinese drywall home, condominium, or building inspections in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, and Southeast Texas should include, all interior electrical outlet boxes must be checked for any sign of copper ground wires turning black.” They also say, “All toxic Chinese drywall inspections should also include, inspecting all air conditioning coils, to see if they have turned black, or if the coil has been recently replaced. We believe black cooper wires, in combination with failed AC coils, are the best indicators for toxic Chinese drywall-not a sulphur smell.” The group says, “In addition, we think its very important to inspect all visible copper pipes & AC tubing, if they are black in a new, or remodeled home its a bad sign. Further, all stainless steel faucet handles under sinks should be inspected for signs of pitting, the electrical panel on the circuit breaker box should be removed, to see if the copper wires have turned black, and the inspection must include checking the attic for what is written on the back of the drywall.” http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Important note to all potential home buyers in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, or Southeast Texas from the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center, “If you do not have experience, or if you do not know how to safely do these types of inspections, hire someone with the experience to do them for you. We do not want consumers inspecting electrical systems, air condition systems, or attics, unless they know how to safely do these things. Animal Cruelty Hits Close to Home

Del Mar, CA (PRWEB) October 28, 2005

Pet-Abuse.Com, an organization nationally recognized for their efforts to implement cutting edge technology in the fight against animal cruelty, recently launched a new project that will allow US residents to pull up their state and view the locations of recent animal cruelty cases in their neighborhood.

This groundbreaking project is intended to illustrate just how common animal cruelty is in our own communities, and Pet-Abuse.Com president Alison Gianotto believes this project can go even further.

“Animal cruelty is an issue that often doesn’t inspire people to speak out until it hits close to home,” Gianotto says.

Pet-Abuse.Com was founded in the aftermath of just such a case, when a southern California cat was stolen and set on fire. The suspect in that case was never caught after fleeing the country, but the organization has posted almost 900 open cases across the country, and currently works with Sacramento-based United Animal Nations to target open cases for the UAN Zig-Zag reward program.

“A high-profile case will often incite hundreds, if not thousands, of letters to prosecutors asking for justice – but what some pet lovers don’t realize is that cruelty is occurring all around them, and it’s up to them to put an end to it.”

Gianotto goes on to cite high-profile cases that have inspired new legislation, such as Buster’s law in New York and Gucci’s law in Alabama. She said that outrage stemming from a recent outbreak of animal cruelty in Kansas has also rekindled a bill being called Scruffy’s law, which asks Kansas lawmakers to provide felony provisions for certain acts of cruelty.

“Animal advocates wield a tremendous amount of power,” Gianotto says. “If you consider how far animal protection laws have come in the last 10 years, we are clearly making real progress, and that is largely because of small communities that are making it clear that animal abuse will not be tolerated.”

This new mapping project will help facilitate that, according to Gianotto.

Pet-Abuse.Com maintains the national animal abuse registry, which contains almost 5,000 cases of criminal animal cruelty in the United States alone, the majority from just the past few years. The organization provides unique tools for animal advocates, such as the ability to monitor specific cases for updates, a national listing of upcoming court dates for criminal cruelty cases, and wireless access to the convicted animal abuser database.
