The Leftovers are Eager To Please you this Fall

Eager To Please

Torrance, CA (Vocus) September 24, 2009

Channeling The Beatles and the Beach Boys with the power pop of Elvis Costello and The Romantics all while keeping the upbeat energy of the Ramones, The Leftovers hit the road in support of their Crappy Records release, Eager To Please. Portland Maine’s most ambitious post punk act, The Leftovers, will be playing a ton of dates this fall in support of their latest release Eager To Please. They’ll be supporting the legendary pop punk act, The Queers.

The Leftovers recent full length Eager To Please was produced by Linus Dotson (of Hollywood) and features Kim Shattuck of The Muffs, Brett Anderson of The Donnas, Parry Gripp from Nerf Herder, Coz Canler from the Romantics and Jon Rubin of the Rubinoos.

“I knew that ‘Eager To Please’ was going to be a great album when I first heard the demos, but it wasn’t until we got in the studio that I realized how amazing the songs really were,” said Dotson. “Kurt Baker has a songwriting maturity that is way beyond his years and is able to channel classic artists like the Beach Boys, Elvis Costello and the Beatles, while still having a unique style all of his own. The Leftovers’ live show is simply mindblowing and they have a fun and endearing charisma that has been lacking from rock’n'roll for a long time!”

The Leftovers formed in 2002 and road tested a sound over 350 dates and two continents that successfully combines the classic vibe of The Beatles and the Beach Boys with the power pop of Elvis Costello, The Romantics and the Rubinoos, while keeping the upbeat energy of the Ramones and The Queers. The Leftovers songwriting skills and powerful live show caught the attention of Crappy Records as well as pop punk cult icons Ben Weasel (of Screeching Weasel fame) and Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout Records). The Leftovers new label, Crappy Records, was formed by label executive Carl Caprioglio, producer Linus of Hollywood and Bowling for Soup frontman Jaret Reddick, with the new label distributed by the Fontana/Universal label Oglio Records.

“The Leftovers are a freakin’ breath of fresh air,” said Jaret Reddick. “They are fun, fascinating and rockin’! And most of all, chicks dig ‘em!”

The Leftovers are Kurt Baker (Bass/Vocals), Andrew Rice (Guitar/Vocals), Adam Woronoff (Drums) and Matt Anderson (Guitar).

Chinese Drywall Complaint Center Updates Its Information For 2010—When Will DC Recognize This Disaster?

Washington, DC (Vocus) January 25, 2010

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying,”as frustrating it is to have so little real information about toxic Chinese, or domestic drywall, it is even more frustrating to know that President Obama and the US Congress have really failed their country, in what the group calls the worst environmental disaster in US history, for US homeowners.” The group thinks toxic Chinese drywall was first introduced to the US as early as 2001, or possibly earlier. The absolutely pathetic US Consumer Products Safety Commission says the following on their web site,” CPSC has received about 2,810 reports from residents in 36 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico who believe their health symptoms or the corrosion of certain metal components in their homes are related to the presence of drywall produced in China. State and local authorities have also received similar reports.” The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says,”the problem with the US Consumer Products Safety Commission is they say they have only heard from 2810 homeowners in 36 US States & Puerto Rico? We could get more than that number of toxic Chinese drywall homes just out of Fort Meyers, Florida alone. If they say they have it in 36 US States-lets just start acting like its in all 50 states-and we need to know what are the health issues related to long term exposure-now.” Homeowners are welcome to contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or they can contact the group via its web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Problems On The Horizon-Update: The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says,” there is no such thing as a 100% sure fire test to determine drywall toxicity in a home. Toxicity testing has to include sulfides & formaldehyde. We think this disaster first became apparent in the US Southeast in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia & Southeast Texas, because these states have some of the highest humidity levels in the US.” The group is saying,”what about the other 45 states? We think we now have discovered toxic drywall in California, Nevada, Indiana. Why is the federal government not doing a better job for these homeowners? A DMV type federal approach is not needed-leadership is needed.” The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is blasting President Obama for his failure to lead in this crisis. ” The US Consumer Product Safety Commission admits Chinese drywall is corroding copper-but no mention of health effects of those who live in the homes, including children?” The other issue of great concern is new, remodeled, or homes that suffered storm damage since 2000-that have intermixed drywall-good-with bad.

What are the signs, symptoms or indicators of toxic Chinese Drywall? The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center says, “in Florida, the US Southeast, Virginia, or other states known to have toxic Chinese drywall, the four biggest symptoms/indicators of toxic Chinese drywall we hear are, air conditioning coil failures, failed electrical appliances/flickering lights, black copper, combined with health side effects that include non stop upper respiratory problems, to severe headaches, to nose bleeds, to all sorts of strange rashes.” But what about that sulphur smell? The group says, “Some homes have the sulphur smell, some do not. We do not think that the smell of sulphur is necessarily the best indicator for toxic Chinese drywall. We think a far better indicator for homes, at least in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Southeast Texas, Mississippi, Virginia, or other humid, warm states are air conditioning coil failures, electrical problems, combined with all, or some of the homeowner’s family are sick. The time lines are 2001 to early 2009.” For more information, homeowners can contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center anytime at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.com

The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying,” we fear homeowners in subdivisions, or condominiums are not talking to each other, or sharing information with each other. We still want to hear from homeowners with Knauf Tianjin, because we fear neighbors, never shared deadline information with other neighbors during the holidays. Instead of having 2000 signed up, there could be 20,000 homes that qualify.” The group is saying,”if you have Chinese drywall in your homes we want to hear from you, or your neighbors. If you have domestic drywall in your home, and you are sick when you are in the house-and not sick when you are not—let us know who you are. We will try to help you figure this out.” How can someone check to see what type of drywall is in their home. The Chinese Drywall Complaint Center is saying, “this is a very inexact science. The easiest way to check to see if you have toxic Chinese drywall in your home is to carefully check to see what is written on the back of your attics drywall, and give us a call-do not start tearing out drywall-until we know it safe to do.” For more information please contact the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center at 866-714-6466, or contact the group via its web site at Http://ChineseDrywallComplaintCenter.Com

Note to involved national, regional, or local homebuilders from the Chinese Drywall Complaint Center,”now would be a real good time to stop pointing fiingers. We did not install toxic Chinese drywall/tainted drywall in 100,000′s of US homes to save a buck, we were not involved in hiring the undocumented labor, used in many to most cases to install it-and it was not us, that failed in many to most cases see to it that the your undocumented labor force paid applicable federal taxes. Why start a bar fight you have already lost?”

GOZoneCPA.com Assists CPA’s, Their Clients and Real Estate Investors – Each Save Up to Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in Taxes This Year in the ‘GO Zone’

Pleasanton, CA (PRWEB) September 28, 2007

Michael Robertson today announced the launch of the GOZoneCPA.com website, designed to showcase tax benefits and qualified real estate investment opportunities and to connect CPA’s, their clients and nationwide investors to take advantage of the unique circumstances that presently exist on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The Gulf Opportunity Act of 2005 (commonly referred to as the “GO Zone” Act) was passed by Congress and signed by President Bush to help the affected counties in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana rebuild subsequent to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma which devastated the area. The GO Zone act was created to spur investment and business development in the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Katrina by providing investors and developers with tremendous tax incentives, including 50% bonus depreciation incentives that allow the investor to literally write off thousands of dollars, while still realizing considerable profits on the properties.

“The GO Zone provides some of the most beneficial tax incentives taxpayers have ever seen”, says Michael Robertson.”We are aspiring to make GOZoneCPA.com the premiere source for GO Zone information and real estate investments and are happy to collaborate with anyone including CPA’s, their clients, real estate agents, developers, brokers, investors, journalists and attorneys to make this venture a success”.

GO Zone properties are phenomenal opportunities and their potential tax benefits can be substantial. However, not every property or every investor qualifies for the GO Zone incentives. Considering GO Zone eligibility rules are quite complex, investors should consult with their accountants or tax attorneys before purchasing a property.

Michael Robertson has been active in the real estate industry since 1979. He founded an appraisal company in 1987 which became nationwide. As an expert in property valuation, he understands the markets, opportunities and real estate trends. After studying the markets and opportunities it became apparent that the GO Zone presented a significant opportunity. As a result, Michael commutes regularly from the GO Zone to the Western States to speak and educate groups on the benefits of the GO Zone and the opportunities it provides. If you may be interested in a speaking presentation or GO Zone opportunities, please contact us today.

Alabama House District 102 Seat for State Representative may be in Danger for the GOP this Fall

Saturday, March 12th, 2011

Mount Vernon, AL (PRWEB) August 2, 2006

A week after the republican primary runoff, a group of republicans from Semmes are dissatisfied with their republican nominee for the November Election for House District 102. A group of republicans who voted in both the primary and the primary runoff elections has endorsed democrat Gary Johnson for the November Election.

Mr. David Whitley a 52 year old from Semmes is leading a group of republicans that has endorsed Gary Johnson for State Representative over their own party nominee Chad Fincher of Tanner Williams. Mr. Whitley says he is unhappy with the republican nominee and believes he wouldn’t be an effective representative for District 102. Mr. Whitley has named his group the “Republicans for the Right Choice.” The group says they did not support Chad Fincher in the republican primary and will not in the general election. Mr. Whitley says Chad Fincher is to close to the Montgomery Insiders before he is elected and is not what he campaigns to be.

Mr. Whitley and his group of twenty or more republicans say they are happy to endorse Gary Johnson a moderate democrat, and encourage more republicans to do the same. Mr. Whitley contends that the future is very important for House District 102. This is the first time since I have been voting republican to buck against my own party, but Chad Fincher is not my choice or this group’s choice says Whitley.

I am glad to have this group of republicans on my side, and it’s great to know that they see the difference in my campaign and Mr. Fincher campaign. I am a real representative I care from my heart about the people and this district says Johnson. If elected District 102 will receive effective leadership. Gary Johnson states that he doesn’t know Mr. Whitley personally or any others of his newly formed group, but we have established a great friendship. “Mr. Whitley and his group is not the only group of republicans that is backing my campaign, I have been in talks with other republicans that didn’t support Fincher in the primary as well.”

Mr. Whitley and his groups are planning a fundraiser for Mr. Johnson campaign.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. Can we have Butler back? You know, the Butler Bulldogs who captured Indiana’s and America’s hearts last year, the Butler team that played so efficiently on offense and played the kind of stifling defense that routinely kept opponents under 60 points?

Extremely Favorable Business Climate Makes This Property a Winner

Friday, August 27th, 2010

National and international businesses alike are moving to the Southeast.  The I-85 Corridor is one of the hottest areas for businesses of any type and the area surrounding Auburn and Opelika, Alabama enjoys one of the most favorable business climates in the US.  The proximity of Montgomery, Alabama, Auburn University and Atlanta, Georgia provides businesses with access to any type of service, product or supply required, as well as transportation of products throughout the US and the world.

The area around Opelika and Auburn has been voted among the Top 10 places in the US for many things, including future growth, retirement, recreation and even golf.  This property offers immediate access to all of those benefits and much more. With 585 acres of valuable, appreciating property, this tract is the ideal location for residential, commercial, industrial or mixed use.  Of course, the adjoining property, which houses the soon-to-be completed $32 million Sportsplex and Aquatic Center, is another boon to investors.  The much-anticipated $1 billion Celebrate Alabama development is directly across the interchange from the property, providing even more benefits for potential investors.

Of course, the thriving business climate has enticed foreign investors and businesses to relocate to the area. The area has become known as the Southern Auto Corridor and provides Hyundai and Kia with access to suppliers all along the length of I-85.  Other suppliers, manufacturers and distributors are relocating to the area, as well, providing a wide range of products, services and supplies for almost any need imaginable.

While the volatile markets offer a precarious investment opportunity, this tract of land has the potential to be very profitable. Investors seeking solidity and reassurance amidst the financial downturn can appreciate the security afforded by this prime real estate. Of course, the property also offers many other benefits.  For instance, investors will be pleased that new sewer and water lines have already been installed.  Another benefit is the location of two well-stocked lakes on the property, ideal for recreation of all types.  The large home on the property is ideal for conversion to a clubhouse, which is an additional benefit for interested parties.

In short, for investors seeking the most favorable business environment would do well to consider this amazing opportunity.  With the best location, proximity to international business hubs and a burgeoning business atmosphere, this property is the best choice for discerning investors, who demand solidity and profit.
